The site is located in the Berlin district of Pankow-Rosenthal, an area mostly consisting of villas and residential buildings. The studio for the sculptor and painter Alexander Polzin comprises a low building and a tower. These two structures together with an existing house create a courtyard. The living area, the painting studio and utility rooms are located in the low building. The sculpture studio, which is lit from the north, is located in the tower and takes up the entire height and is ideally suited for sculpture and large scale paintings.
